"Sony Vaio PCG-505G or PCG-505GX System Restore Recovery CD disk. These disks are images of the original disks supplied with the computer when it was new.
Note: System Restore disks restore the operating system and the original drivers installed when the computer was new. They are needed if your computer crashes and you want to restore the computer and operating system to the factory defaults. The system restore disk actually installs the operating system however you must have your software key, usually on the back or bottom of your computer for activation. If you install a vanilla copy of Windows on your computer and cant get the hardware to work, the system restore disks will solve your problem. Application Restore disks only restore the factory installed third party software that was supplied with the comptuer. the Driver disk only provides the hardware drivers for your computer. Application and Driver disks only work if you have the system restore disks for your computer. Make sure you order the correct ones for your computer as there are no refunds on software.
